Material and mil thickness
FDA-grade virgin resin can be specified for food contact. mil thickness should reflect product texture, packed weight, bag dimensions, temperature, and handling rather than a generic produce standard.
Custom vented, perforated, wicketed, gusseted, and liner formats for produce packers, designed around crop behavior, moisture, temperature, fill weight, and line operation.
Produce packaging must be specified crop by crop. Respiration, field heat, wash water, surface abrasion, weight, and distribution differ across leafy greens, fruit, roots, and bulk vegetables. M Plastics can manufacture vent and perforation options, but shelf-life performance belongs to the complete produce system.
Produce changes by crop, season, and packing shed, so we do not treat it as a one-size-fits-all category. M Plastics works from the produce item and handling path: field or wash line, pack temperature, respiration, moisture, weight, display, and transport. We then manufacture the bag or liner around those real conditions, including perforation and print when required.
Identify the crop, packed weight, temperature, moisture, respiration or venting needs, bagging method, closure, retail display, and distribution time. Perforation and film selection should be validated against actual shelf-life requirements.

Document whether loading is by hand, chute, scale, wicket station, or automated bagger. Provide opening method, seal or closure, line speed, and any wet-product conditions.
Trial the final bag with the crop through packing, cooling, transport, and intended display. Perforation does not by itself guarantee respiration control, reduced shrink, or a stated shelf life.
A material declaration or FDA-grade resin does not approve a finished package for every product or process. The customer remains responsible for application-specific regulatory review and validation.
Practical answers from a manufacturer. Final specifications are confirmed for your product, equipment, and use conditions.
Yes. We can discuss perforation based on the crop and packing process. The customer should validate the final configuration for respiration and shelf-life performance.
Yes. We review moisture, drainage or venting needs, seal construction, and handling to develop an appropriate specification.
Yes. Custom printing is available for branding, product information, handling instructions, and approved traceability elements.
Review a production-representative sample with the actual product, packing method, closure, storage, and distribution conditions. Approval criteria should be documented before the full run.
